We’re a non-profit community nursery, founded in 1983 and run by parents. We care for a maximum of 24 children in a wooded garden of over 600 sqm.
-
Children aged 20 Months - 5 Years.
-
We’re inspired by the Forest School approach, with elements of Steiner and Reggio Emilia. Our staff observe each child first, and then extend their interests and provide support to nurture learning.
-
Yes! We spend as much time outdoors as possible. Our ethos is inspired by one of the great pioneers of nursery education Margaret McMillan: ‘The best classroom…[is] roofed only by the sky’.
This is why we ask parents to provide wellies, waterproofs and spare clothes for their children.
-
Our core staff have been with the nursery for years. Our experienced Manager and Team run the early-years education day to day.
