Admissions

Our community nursery thrives from a joint working partnership with parents. The Nursery is managed by parents, and relies on their voluntary help in all areas to maintain it. Notes

Fees

  • Our fees are calculated by multiplying the chargeable hours a week by 48 weeks of the year and then divided into 12 equal payments. If your child changes their free hours entitlement, the fees will be adjusted accordingly. Fees are payable on the first of each month in advance, by Direct Debit, bank transfer or accepted vouchers.

  • Fees are still payable if a child is absent from nursery through illness or holiday. There are no extra charges for food, activities or outings. Parents to provide nappies and formula if needed.

15 Hours - 2 YO

  • There are many ways to access support with childcare fees. Ask the manager for advice or contact your local authority.

  • This may include the following: 15 hours for 2 year olds; adopted or "looked after" children; children with an EHCP; families on income support, tax credits or universal credit etc.

30 Hours

  • 30 hours of free childcare is now available to working parent(s) meeting specific criteria whose child is over 9 months of age. For CGN, these 30 hours (which are given from the government covering 38 weeks a year) are stretched over the 48 weeks we are open, which equates to approximately 24 hours per week at our nursery. Access to these funded hours are dependant on both parents in the family unit working for at least 16 hours per week at minimum wage level. Neither parent can earn over £100,000 per annum.

  • Parents apply via HMRC, which in turn pays the nursery directly. The claim is renewed every 3 months. If not claimed, the monies will not be paid, and the nursery would charge parents the full fees for all hours attended.

  • Parents may still be eligible if they are between jobs, on maternity/paternity leave or adoption leave etc. Please contact HMRC for advice.

  • The parents do not receive the free hours  payments. The payments come to the nursery directly via the local authority and we then charge parents for the extra hours their child attends.

Extra Sessions

  • Early session 8:15am-9:00am and late session, 5:00pm-5:45pm are available if booked at least one week in advance.

  • Free hours cannot be used to pay towards these session.

  • Extended hours are outside our core hours, and are billed monthly in arrears.

Confidentiality

GDPR. The nursery requires proof of gross annual income from the family in order to set the correct band hourly rates. This information is seen only by the manager  who then sets the relevant fees.
