All our full-time staff are highly qualified – Katherine, Joy, Mary, Nisha, Gemma and Syrie all have a BA degree in Early Years Education. Mary and Gemma are qualified Forest School leaders. Nisha is doing Forest School training this year as part of the ongoing career development that the nursery offers all staff.
The nursery offers student placements throughout the year – to those studying speech therapy at UCL or childcare degree students at London Metropolitan. We also welcome volunteers who wish to improve their working skills with children. No student or volunteer is left alone with children, or counted in adult/child ratios, and all are DBS checked.
Aside from the termly parents meetings, we have the ‘Parent Zone’ – a secure electronic system where each child’s key worker can exchange observations and pictures with their parents. Parents access it by logging in online – it is personal and password protected.
Our last Ofsted inspection was in 2013, we’re due for an inspection this year.

Katharine has managed the nursery since January 2009, having been a qualified nursery officer for over thirty years. She lives in Kent with her husband and has three grown up children and five grandchildren. Katharine has previously managed three different settings over twenty two years.

The nursery uses a registered cleaning company to do a daily clean and a termly deep clean of the building.
We employ a registered accountant to deliver our accounts to Companies House and the Charities Commission, and to ensure we are meeting all our legal obligations.
When the nursery needs to employ agency staff we use Marylebone Services Ltd, as they provide very high quality and qualified nursery staff. However, we prefer to rely on our part time staff already on site for continuity of care.
